Great little cafe, roast their own beans. I tried a pour over which is done on a Kalita wave on an Origami coffee dripper which gives a clean but strong tasting coffee. My partner tried the mocha which was also good no added sugar however I recommend mixing the mocha as all the chocolate will start accumulating down the bottom. Has a very relaxed vibe, little bit less professional than Blacklist Roasters and their filtered water is in front of the counter which makes things awkward but at least you still get to see your pourover being prepared. I tried an espresso but I don't think it was a single origin and seemed slightly under-extracted. Still definitely worth going to.

A nice little Cafe where they roast beans fresh and pack. You can see them roasting and packing through the window. coffee is fresh and aromatic. One of the best in Perth.

Very sweet little coffee spot with dedicated service by people who care about their coffee. Absolutely love the cold brew sour, it's a fantastic milk free iced coffee alternative. They know how to make the flavour of their coffee work and stand out and are creative with it. They don't have many options for food, but they're all about the coffee, so as long as you're aware of that it's fine. Plenty of options around to get a sweet treat to go with their great coffee.

They have rewardle loyalty points so an added bonus. Small space but great display on the coffee roasters workshop. Only have nibbles, so you don't get heavy meals/brekkie. Coffee is really smooth and strong, they don't have lactose free milk, only oatmeal milk. They open as early as 6.30 so great for morning peeps

Humblebee is a great little cafe located in the heart of Mount Hawthorn. It's cozy without being too small. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back and the staff are lovely. And the coffee is smooth and fresh. Plus, you can watch it being roasted through a large window inside, which is a nice touch. The mini-donuts are a great accompaniment to the coffee. You can even buy Humblebee t-shirts that feature a bumblebee making coffee! They're a hoot (or perhaps that should be a buzz!). It's great on a summer's day. There's outside seating and you'll often see families and people with their dogs enjoying the sunshine. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. PS: This is an update to my previous review of Humblebee. I wanted to provide a more comprehensive review that also has photos! As I am currently laid up with a knee injury, I decided to make the most of my free time on a Saturday morning. So, I headed over to Humblebee to continue reading ‘The Lifecycle of the Common Octopus’ (for those wondering - yes that’s really the title and no it’s not about an octopus! 😉). But seriously, it’s Emma Knight’s debut novel and it’s a great read. Humblebee is somewhat of a hidden gem. I say that because even though it has a solid customer base and is popular, it also has a strong sense of what it is. Plus, it doesn’t try too hard. This means it achieves a great balance between being community minded, while also being a successful business. The venue has great character too. This is created by a few different aspects. For starters, there’s the wood floors, along with other wood paneling featuring different brightly coloured wood planks. There are also a few plants that make for a relaxed atmosphere. Throw in some cool chairs and funky lights and it all comes together to create a great vibe. Serious coffee aficionados will be able to peruse a series of coffee books and magazines while consuming their beverage of choice. Others can sit back and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. As

The baristas are super lovely and create a nice vibe in this cute, cozy cafe! Coffee is very tasty and definitely worth a visit. Bonus: being able to see what’s going on behind the scenes in the roastery while enjoying your drink!

This cafe is a small cafe, but full of specialty coffee. They have a coffee roasting plant inside the cafe. I ordered a cold brew and an origin single espresso shot. Their coffee tastes very good, clean, sweet and has a distinct fruity aroma , coffee flavors are unique. The barista is lovely, friendly and makes great coffee. I would like you all to come and try this place once in your life.

The coffee is excellent but it's the little touches that make this place great. I asked for some sparkling water with my espresso and they gave me some on the side. Tasting profile card with the single origin, staff are so friendly and service with a smile. Cheers guys, found my new local.

Came across this gem as part of my side quests for solid coffee shops for my travel destinations (Perth day 2). I got the pour over twice - the first one was to enjoy with the almond croissant - the second, was to enjoy the coffee purely by itself. Both experiences were solid. The baristas also had a good camaraderie among each other which definitely made you feel welcomed. Because I had tried leeway coffee the day before and they were family - I had to ask if these folks were also family too and it being a family-run business - to my dismay they weren’t but that’s fine. A solid coffee shop to recommend if you’re in Perth!
